Corbu Fish Farm Environment information

Rig Service is particularly interested in environment protection, both to the fishing sector and outside it. Taking into account that the activity develops within the perimeter of the site Natura 2000 “ROSPA0060 LACURILE TASAUL-CORBU” (ROSPA0060 TASAUL-CORBU LAKES), there was implemented a quality-monitoring programme of the environmental factors and biodiversity, being taken protection and conservation measures of the birds’ habitats.

In order to bring performance in protecting the environment, Rig Service took measures of urgently intervening and reporting any accidental pollution or any other incidents, which could appear within the protected area, having effect on the birds’ habitats and on the quality of the environmental factors.

A supervision and monitoring system of the collection, purge and evacuation of used waters in Corbu Lake is implemented, the generated waste being collected on categories in especially designed spaces, the waste management being periodically reported to the environment protection competent authorities.

The activity developed at Corbu 2 Fish Farm does not have consequences on the environment, on the surroundings or major influences on the flora or avifauna. Specific measures for insuring the permanent cleanliness are taken, both inside and around the objective.

The document environmentally regulating the performance of FRESHWATER AQUACULTURE activity at Corbu 2 fish farm is the Environment Authorisation issued by the Environmental Protection Agency of Constanta, valid until 2014.
